Panel one: Handsome new Character. Good. A bit of eye candy as a reward for staying with the story thus far. and a dash of cute from the younger one. Good.
Panel two:
Dialogue extra good. [Mom and dad- at last some relationship words that also establish relative ages for at least the two characters we can see, at the moment.]
Panel three:
Nice work in on the bars. Good, powerful symbol of something (usually) bad. [Slavery, imprisonment, nasty things that happen to nice characters] It also implies that whoever is keeping these two young sub adults behind bars must have some sort of powerful hold over them, because the elder of the pair we meet here certainly looks as if he could make those bars "go away" (via magic, or just by application of muscle) if he wanted to do so-and he's obviously concerned about something happening beyond the bars-]
Panel four:
Ok---Boomerang time..If this fine fellow can come and go when he pleases,[which is what is implied here] he's not a prisoner, and most likely not a slave as Humans (audience) would understand the word) So, why the bars?? Confusing- but let's push ahead and see if the fog lifts some--)
Panel five:
Nice bit for the youngster-Another good relationship word. Acceptable for the moment, in place of her name.
I'm still in a bit of a fog over this "come and go" stuff while you're behind bars. But. onward to the next page and [hopefully] more exposition!!
